Permanent Jewelry
Permanent jewelry, often referred to as infinity or forever jewelry, is jewelry that is welded closed and designed to be worn continuously. At Forged & Fated you can choose from a collection of 14k gold-filled or sterling silver. We also offer a selection of seasonal enamel, gold-plated chains that are fantastic for accentuating a stack. These chains are fitted and welded around your wrist, ankle, or neck and have minimal maintenance requirements. We can weld rings, belly chains, and custom designs too!
Permanent jewelry is an experience that allows you to express yourself through each carefully crafted piece. You’ll be able to pick your chain, add charms, connectors, or even create a stack of two or more — the options are endless!
You can choose to share the experience of permanent jewelry with friends and family too. It is a magical way of commemorating a moment or a lifetime! We are first-come first-serve at Pop-Up Events or you can throw a private party - bridal showers, birthdays, girls’ nights, weddings, and more!
FAQS
What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is custom-fitted and welded closed directly onto your wrist, ankle, or neck with an arc welder — no clasp required. It’s painless, quick, and designed to be worn every day as a lasting symbol of connection, commitment, or simply a piece of your story.
Clasps are available for purchase for those who love jewelry, but not the commitment.
Does it hurt?
Not at all! The process is completely safe and pain-free.
Can I wear my jewelry in water?
Absolutely! Our 14k gold-filled and sterling silver options are made to last. It is recommended to thoroughly and gently dry your piece afterwards to maintain it’s sparkle!
Am I able to remove my permanent jewelry?
Your custom-fitted piece may be removed with nail clippers or scissors if needed. It can be seamlessly re-welded if care is taken to clip at the jump ring site.
What if I need an MRI?
If you require an MRI or other medical procedure, you can easily remove your jewelry at the jump ring and I would be happy to re-weld at your convenience.
If you currently have a medical condition that requires MRIs or have a scheduled surgery, we do not recommend getting a permanent jewelry piece.
What if it breaks?
Every piece is forged to last — but if fate has other plans, we’ll always fix it, free of charge. We believe in the quality of our pieces and in taking care of our customers.
Keep in mind, these are dainty jewelry pieces and it is possible to break given enough pressure!
Once fitted, these jewelry pieces are non-refundable. We are not liable for normal wear and tear.
Be sure to keep your chain and email me at amanda@forgedandfated.com for any repairs.
My bracelet fell off and I lost it!
We are so sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, a new chain will need to be purchased, however we are happy to offer a discount of 50% on a replacement chain as a thank you for choosing us.
Will it tarnish?
Tarnishing is a natural process caused by exposure to chemicals, moisture, and everyday wear. While your jewelry piece can tarnish, a little care goes a long way in maintaining the beauty of your permanent jewelry!
I’ve put together a special cleaning kit to make it super easy — and I include one with every purchase! Inside you will find a soft bristle brush, a jewelry polishing cloth, and a care card with all the tips!
What about sports?
It is important to note that most contact sports enforce rules prohibiting the wearing of any type of jewelry, including permanent jewelry.
Am I able to travel with my permanent jewelry?
Yes! Fine jewelry is not required to be removed to pass through TSA or metal detectors.
Is there an age requirement?
Anyone under the age of 18 must be escorted by an adult.
